I'll go elemental build nor now, or stop playing shammy, bcz my will was melee shammy :(Īnd just 1 more thing- flametogue/frostband/rockbiter/windfurry weapons- and nothing to help elemental shaman (i'll be with damn frostband after going elemental)? silly Blizzard-so many patches and my favorite game is so not FinishedĮnjoy+have fun - thats why we r playing gamesĬomment by ThottbotI play an enh shaman. I will never pref offhand weap instead of good old shield (later it is 2k+armor, chanse to block, shield specelization tallent, all ur strenght help you block more dmg too) vs any (btw Many->5 or 6 from 9classes,most mobs too) physical dmg dealer in pvp/pve, if u r fighting a caster - go 2h+wf,ls,purge,1st rank of earth shock.Īnd now Enhancement build is oriented to dualwielding bcz "new" Stormstrike atacks with BOTH weap's, Unleashed rage and Shamanistic rage beneffict from dualwielding more then from 2h or 1h+shield (simply more hits = more crits=those tallents worfk more Often). Sham's dont have tallent like rogues to remove penalty of -50%dmg for off hand, neither like warriors -25% (-chanse to hit too!) My shammy was 11/31/0 (Shamaladin 51 lvl Agamaggan) and then Blizzard brought st00pid idea about dualwielding. So.i pref wf instead of rockbiter, exept of a case when u have to tank and cant hold aggro only with last rank of earth shock+wf+stoneclaw totem - then rockbiter might help you out.

It is my 1st shaman so i might miss something, please correct me see ? and at nearly 1st wf profc, there is a 1st crit too (if no earlier) so flurry pop up too,and then it is hard to stop :P

Lets think that every 5th hit is wf proc. When wf prorc 1st time in the fight it is not 20% anymore, bcz you get those 2 free hits - they r part of ur next necessary 5 hits for wf to proc, and now you need to hit 3 times to proc wf instead of 5.

#Ascension wow dual wield windfury build Patch
Most cases armor mitigates about 30-50% which would be about 15 dps, which would make the dps bonus of WF or RB about the same as flametongue.Ĭomment by ThottbotBefore stupid patch i would say that Wf suit both 1h+shield and 2h (no matter of speed - bcz faster=more wf's,slower=more dmg when prc) better then rockbiter, why ? ( i got something that noone mentioned ). Looking at my previous example with base of 100dps, WF and RB add about 38dps. Looking at the speeds of most weapons, it seems to add about 23-24 dps. Although it is hard to calculate the dps added, flametongue (rank 6) adds 29.5 damage to the fastest, and 90.8 to the slowest. people who number crunch don't account for armor or damage mitigation. however most of the time the difference in dps is pretty close, so its your preference.įlametongue is underrated by a LOT. In this case WF wins the long term dps fight. Ignore the ap bonus from the WF for now, thats for you to calculate after I give you this: This is for anyone who doesn't know which weapon buff to choose So I'm not gonna go into extensive detail of any of them. many of you seem to know most of the basics of both. <1.5s normal, <2.0s with flurry = two swings wasted (bad!)Ĭomment by Thottbotedit2: (to the above poster) no WF is not nature, its just a proc Handy reference chart:ģ.0s normal, 4.0s with flurry = no swings wasted (no 1H weapons >20dps exist at this speed)ġ.5s normal, 2.0s with flurry = one swing wasted This leads to a 11-14% procrate with weapons faster than 2.0s unhasted and a 14-18% procrate with weapons slower than 2.0s unhasted. When both weapons have WF, each hit outside of the cooldown has a 36% chance to proc. This leads to a 11-18% overall proc rate, depending on gear, weapon speed, spec, and luck. When only one weapon has WF, each hit outside of the cooldown has a 20% chance to proc. This means that WF will proc less than the 20% promised on its tooltip. No 1H weapon in the entire game can proc WF twice in a row. WF totem scales with melee gear, so it's a fantastic buff for rogues, paladins, and warriors.Īfter WF procs it cannot proc again on either hand for 3 seconds.

The WF attack itself is white damage and generates rage. WF totem only procs on autoattacks and "on next melee" attacks like heroic strike. The two offhand attacks are affected by the standard offhand 50% damage reduction. They do not consume flurry charges, and don't glance. The two extra attacks can proc flurry, unleashed rage, and shamanistic rage. The best enchant for enhancement shamans on both hands. Benefits from weapon mastery for 10% more damage. Has a 5% special attack type melee miss chance. Mitigated by armor and block, avoided by dodge, parry, and miss. Scales with weapon DPS, attack power, melee haste, melee crit, melee tohit.
